Why Blogging?

If you know me or are friends with me on Facebook, then you might know I started a blog back in 2013. The focus of that blog was a little different than this one, and I was at a very different time in my life. I can’t believe that was almost 6 years ago! Let’s take a stroll down memory lane, shall we?

In 2013, I was almost a year into living in NYC, working at a job that I really loved. I had always wanted to start a blog, but never really knew where to start or what to write about. Well, in the summer of 2013, I lost some weight and got into decent shape by doing the Paleo diet. I was full-on Paleo and recommended it to everyone (click here if you want to try it out)! I still think it’s a great basis for healthy eating, but I haven’t strictly followed the diet since then and definitely don’t look like I did back then either! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Anyway, that blog was about healthy eating, meal prep and exercise. I ran my first (and last) half marathon when we lived in New York and regret it every day of my life haha! I’m rambling a little bit here, but I really enjoyed writing that blog and sharing it with everyone, but like most things in my life, I didn’t follow through with it. For this blog, we are switching directions a bit! If I had started blogging again 3 years ago when we moved here, I don’t think I would have had much to write about and no one would have read it. Now that our lives are about to change pretty drastically, I want this to be a place where I can talk about my pregnancy journey and all of the experiences that come with being a new mom. If that’s not your jam either, I totally understand, but I’m looking forward to having a space of my own to come and blog about all of the happenings in this uncharted territory!

I’ll break it up with some posts about food/fitness/life, but follow along as I document this new chapter in our lives as we become a family of 3! The best is yet to come, and I’m excited to be blogging again!
